MrHun In'a Blend'a Vol5 - All I Hear

Hello There! Due to a number of technical issue's prior to and during my show, I had to abandon putting out the podcast. So, in its place I thought I would push my lastest mix for the just for a short time only. So The Mix.... I've had this mix in the pipeline for sometime, in fact the last 3 -4 months.... I work on a mix 5-6 times a week, and some are good and others just dont feel right.... Not that I don't like the music I have, but for me, there are always a couple of tracks that I keep swapping in and out, and then I end up going for a classic to replace and then eventually I just drop the lot and let the music take control.... Thats what the MrHun In'A Blend'a series is fundamentally about.... For Vol4, I went for something new and something old and there were quite a few tracks that I wanted to include but I think I can get the message across with what I have put together..... So if you know the title of the tracks playin played, tag it and make the playlist for anyone else who wants to know.... Sharing is caring after all As for the intro, well, its a classic scene from national lampoons cult classic Animal House, the original college boy mischief and mayhem film that many have followed..... But when faced with adversity, as these guys where, you can sit there and look at things, and think how? and why? and also what now? because everything looks bleek and at an end, when in reality you can get up and do something about it and rebel to hit back to keep things going and alive.... Sound Famailiar, well, I can certainly say that I've felt the pinch over the last few years, and have at times thought that i have it all stacked up against me and the odds aren't looking to great! This is my way of sayin you know, FTP! It aint happening, house music lives and has so much more to give, and I have to give back.... because you only fail if you give up! I hope you enjoy the mix.... Take care! Rice n Beans! Jackumentory - aNyO Special - Live in'a Blend'a

Podcast SummaryMrHun Bio MrHuns’ fascination for the art of DJ’in began back in the mid to late 80’s at the height of the acid house revolution that was sweeping London and the rest of the UK. It was from listening to London’s pirate radio scene that was championing the an underground sound that played a massive part in his influence to music; which encouraged him at such a young age to buy records from his local high street vinyl specialist in his home of Tottenham, London. It wasn’t until around 91/92 when he started to attend warehouse parties himself that started the transition to become a DJ by watching some of the worlds now famous dj’s such as, Carl Cox, Tony Humphries, Jazzy M, Evil Eddie Richards, Terry Francis, Mr C, Kenny Ken, Jumpin’ Jack Frost, Nicky Blackmarket, Frankie Feliciano just to name a few.
About Mr HunIn the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove. And from this groove came the groove of all grooves. And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared, "Let there be HOUSE!" and house music was born. I’m sure all of you that have read the above quote know it as one of the most infamous house acapellas ever to have graced the house dance floor…. Every true house head and DJ on the planet has either heard it played or has it for that one special moment…. I know I sure know I do! Jackumentory, is something of a vision, a documentary if you wish to call it, of this acapella and everything that has ever evolved out of house music… everything from the Chicago Jack’in, acid, Latin, tribal/tech house genres that many know and love today the world over…. It’s mission is revive this culture that has taken a back seat in the clubs with the emergence of electro and minimal dance music not that there anything wrong with electro or minimal, it is something that has saturated our clubs, radios and our lives leaving no room for the house music that so many people love… Most of all Jackumentory is about choice, freedom to dance to inspire many to open their minds and hearts to let there be HOUSE! Call this a revolution! A revolution to inspire many, to restore the great feeling of house music to our beloved play grounds, where we love to dance and let go from daytime routines… a revolution to educate the minds of many new comers to those play grounds of it’s roots and culture… Its sounds… the 4x4 beats and baselines… The Funk! And the heart wrenching vocals that has had its minions raise there hands to the sky with pure emotion screaming because house is a feeling, a way of life, a movement that represents one nation under a groove! Not only does it represent the history of house music from the past, it is also a vessel for the present and the future of House music…. So expect to hear music that will warm the heart and soul with its funk groove movement… Welcome to the revolution kids! Houze4Houze! Followers
